How to Be Yourself in a Crowded MLM Field, Part II |

As we discussed in the first article, the Business Values process builds a unique and profitable network marketing business for you, no matter what products or services you offer and no matter how many other people are competing against you with the same products and services.
Simply put, your life experiences, personality, educational experiences and your unique personal outlook form the basis for significant market differentiation that will attract motivated, hungry entrepreneurs to you and the business you offer. This is the transformational difference in standing out in a field crowded with people offering the same "opportunity", saying the same thing, the same way.
By developing your marketing efforts from this perspective, you will attract different people from all of the others in your MLM company. You can be in the same city, even the same neighborhood and attract very different people without ever competing directly against the others. You will have enormous success by following a Business Values model.
Once you have accepted that your unique experiences are valuable to others, you have the basis for your market differentiation and success.
Your personal story and the lessons extracted from it will be compelling to many people and your use of your life lessons will be the vehicle to achieve your dream life! As an example, I am a Baby Boomer urban white guy and I spent most of my adult life in the computer and high technology field. Take a moment to think about who would most likely be attracted to me; people with similar backgrounds and experiences, people who want to learn from an experienced corporate marketer?
Now, assume that we are using the same MLM company and we are both using a Business Values model in our marketing. People who are not attracted to my story, people who find no value to my experiences are still excellent prospects for your story and experiences! They will become your business builders and product users. A very different outcome if we are telling the same people about our "great opportunity" in the same way! Recruiting prospects who come to you to learn about your techniques and success now becomes easier as they recognize the value of learning from a leader who offers something tangible and uniquely different from others. And you now only talk with serious people with a strong desire to emulate your success! You now attract people who want what you have! Here's the best part, you will likely never even mention your MLM company to your prospects until after they have committed to giving you a firm decision under conditions you describe for them for teaching them your methods! If they have no interest, no problem, you haven't disclosed anything about your program, products or compensation plan.
However, if they are motivated to change their life, the MLM company doesn't matter to your prospects because of the high degree of trust and personal credibility that you have established by using the Business Values model of attracting them.
Summary A Business Values approach to building a network marketing business based on the lessons of personal experience will quickly produce the results that you want for yourself and your family.
You will attract people who value the lessons of your experience and leadership. Developing leaders from a Business Values approach builds the foundation for a successful and sustainable network marketing business.
